I have a degree in Exercise Science and am currently going for my Masters degree in EXSC at MTSU. I started doing crossfit on and off about a year ago. My friend michael foster introduced me to a workout which was something like 3 rounds of 400meter sprints, some pullups and some rowing,..i couldnt finish it. Also during my internship at a gym in Florida where my female boss was beastin' at all these workouts that I couldnt keep up with. I had always thought i was in such great shape by doing cardio and weight training 5 times a week until i witnessed crossfit. She put me through a workout called "fight gone bad" it consisted of 3 rounds of 5 exercises which you did continuously for 1 minute each and after the round you were allowed a 1 minute break. the exercises were Wall Balls, Sumo Deadlift High Pull, Box Jump, 75lb pushpress and rowing...i was so dripping in sweat and laying on the floor when i was done. Someone keeps count of your total number of reps during the workout and your score is your total..her's killed mine.. i then knew that barbell curls, leg extensions and front raises weren't doing shit for my fitness. . I got hired at a gym at the beginning of 2010 that is a crossfit affiliate and I and have become strict about doing crossfit since then, and hopefully you will too!
I plan to post informational topics on various things crossfit related every day on this blog and hopefully you will benefit from it.
I encourage people to post comments, questions, and crossfit related pictures and videos, and i will be doing the same.
